What is PianoMe?
PianoMe is an online platform through which piano practice rooms can be simultaneously rented out and hired on an hourly basis – think of it as a kind of ‘Airbnb’ for rehearsal spaces! A piano room may be used for several reasons or occasions, for example, as a space for practicing or recording music, or for hosting music lessons, workshops or seminars.
In which cities can I hire a rehearsal room?
In principle, rehearsal rooms should be available for people to rent out and hire anywhere in the world - especially in larger cities and metropolitan areas. And now, with PianoMe, this is finally possible. As PianoMe was only launched in September 2017, practice rooms will, at first, be available in Germany and some further European countries (i.e. in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, D sseldorf, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hannover, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid and other large cities).
How is PianoMe funded?
Currently, PianoMe is financed exclusively via a service fee amounting to 15% of each booking. This means, for example, that if a piano room is rented for 10 EUR, the owner of the room receives a payment of 8.50 EUR and PianoMe receives 1.50 EUR.
How are bookings and payments processed?
Booking and paying for a piano room couldn’t be easier:
1. Find a suitable piano room on our website.
2. Check the availability of the space and select one or more time slots. Book and pay directly online using either PayPal, Visa, Mastercard or SOFORT bank transfer.
3. Wait for the owner of the room to confirm your booking. Payment will only be carried out after a booking has been confirmed. Bookings for piano rooms featuring the ‘Instant Booking’ sign are automatically valid. Then it’s time to get playing! Should your plans happen to change in the meantime, bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of each booking.
Is a booking valid immediately or must it first be confirmed?
This depends on whether the person renting out the room has chosen to offer the ‘Instant Booking’ option or not. If a listing features the ‘Instant Booking’ option, then the booking of that piano room is automatically valid and does not need to be confirmed first. Listings with the ‘Instant Booking’ option will be marked by a green bar labelled ‘Instant Booking’. If a listing does not feature this option, then the booking must first be confirmed by the owner of the room. Payment will only be carried out after a booking has been confirmed.
How do I rent out my room on PianoMe?
To rent out your piano room, simply click on the following link: rent a piano room and follow the steps outlined. From there you can choose whether bookings for your piano room are valid immediately (‘Instant Booking‘) or whether a booking must be confirmed by you first. It only takes a few minutes to create a listing on PianoMe, and what’s more, it is 100% free of charge.
